Day 2 -- Montmartre

We were set to meet Antoine, the tour guide, at 2; we took the Metro to the meeting place and were there early enough to have a cup of coffee in a nearby cafe. Some of us got baguettes from a bakery right next door and snacked on them for the duration of the tour (4 hours). I've never eaten so much bread in my life.
The tour started with the town hall. On the tour we saw Sacre Coeur; a bell tower from the 11th century; cafes that boasted of clients like Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh; a home that supposedly belonged to Johnny Depp; an artist's square that was empty because of the rain; Moulin de la Guarette; and the tour ended with the Moulin Rouge.
We went to 2 restaurants during the tour; one to escape the rain, and one to finish the tour. The one at the end was in the movie Amelie. I don't think any of us had seen that movie, but it's definitely on my list.
The day ended with a Metro ride back to our hotel and then dinner. I ate in a restaurant similar to the one from the night before.
